Top performers from the Senior Showcase, part III
Looking back on a full day of action at the Senior Showcase, there were a number of players that stood out in the evaluation games. Here's four more that stood out to our staff of evaluators and coaches.
Cedric Council, PF, North Cobb: Council was arguably the most talked about big man prospect in attendance. Council used his slim 6-foot-8 frame to block or alter a ton of shots. He showed the ability to rebound and consistently finish around the basket. The most intriguing aspect of Council’s day was his soft midrange shooting touch.
Jordan Floyd, PG/SG, Westover: Floyd was one of the most explosive players in attendance. The 6-foot-2 combo guard was at his best in transition. He showed the ability to attack the basket and finish either at or above the rim. Floyd is known for his explosiveness, but he used Sunday to showcase his 3 point shooting ability and defensive prowess.
Jervon Walker, SF/PF, Laney: Walker used Sunday to show off his athleticism and versatility. The 6-foot-5 lanky forward showed the ability to play from the wing and face-up on the block. Walker thrived in transition where he threw down some thunderous dunks. The up-tempo style of the showcase played to Walker’s strengths.
Nathan Curtis, SG/SF, Warner Robins: Curtis used Sunday to continue his consistent play at HoopSeen event. The 6-foot-4 lefty wing is at his best when attacking the basket. He rebounds very well to be a wing. Curtis scored on all 3 levels. He ended the camp with one of the most notable dunks in transition.
