HoopSeen Atlanta Jam Top Performers from the Carolina's Part I
SUWANEE, GA - The HoopSeen Atlanta Jam was stop number three on the schedule for our team here at HoopSeen. This year's Atlanta Jam was filled with talent from Florida to Washington and from Connecticut to the Carolinas'. We take a look at some of the top performers from the Carolinas' from this past weekend.
Nate Brafford, Team Swish - The 6-foot-8 point forward has been on our radar for the last four seasons and he has improved each and every year. Since transferring to Rabun Gap in Northeast Georgia, Brafford has expanded his game and has improved his scoring ability. The long and lanky Brafford is one of the best shooters we have seen this travel season. Brafford doesn't need much space to get his shot off and he does a really good job of attacking off the dribble and finishing plays with a big left-handed dunk, his go-to. Brafford currently holds offers from Stetson, North Florida and Florida Gulf Coast. He is splitting time this travel season with Team Swish and Georgia Stars.
JaQuava Propst-Allison, PSB-Charlotte - This was one of my favorite guards on the weekend. Propst-Allison does a little bit of everything really well for Dan Larkin and his PSB squad. The 6-foot-3 junior guard has size and a muscular build that allows him to get into the lane, finishing with contact or making a pass that nobody in the gym saw coming. He has super court-vision, can make defenders miss and showed he can shoot it from the outside. At Providence Day in Charlotte, Propst-Allison is playing under one of the best coaches in the state in Brian Fields, who coached Grant Williams (Boston Celtics), Devon Dotson (Chicago Bulls) and Trey Wertz (Notre Dame) recently. I like the upside with this guard and I can't wait to see him in Louisville at our Grassroots Showcase.
Devin Binyard, Carolina Pressure - Our HoopSeen Association team, Carolina Pressure always brings us some guys to write about and Binyard is the next one. The junior guard scored from all spots on the floor this past weekend at The Atlanta Jam, he is a solid positional rebounder that really gets high on rebounds. He plays smart and has a good understanding of the game. Motor, motor, motor. I love to see a prospect that can go the whole game and never look like he is tired, Binyard is that kind of player. He gets up and down the floor, dives for loose balls and plays hard every play. The Irmo (SC) High School guard comes from a school that has produced some of the best guards in the state, including South Carolina's leader scorer, BJ McKie.
