D'Courtland Christian's #ATLJAM Two Quick-Hitters from Saturday

There’s no other way to spend a Saturday than with some basketball. Day two of AtlantaJam provided all that and more, multiple games, high energy, and ongoing competition.

Outstanding Performance

No player brought their “A” game other than available senior Dana Woodley, pictured above. This 6-foot-5 guard put on a scoring clinic all day for team B.A.N.G Up. He started off dropping 26 points in a 60-40 win over TMP Teal. This kid brings his excellent shooting and leaping ability to the table. Once he gets going, there is no stopping Woodley from the attack. He would cap off his night with another solid performance of 25 points. Any college would be lucky to have Woodley a part of its roster.

Hawks Elite take on #AtlantaJam.

Each time Hawks Elite takes the floor, they get better and better. Whenever they show up to a HoopSeen event, they put on a show. This Hawks Elite team’s success starts and ends with teamwork; no one player is bigger than the next; they are a family. Hawks Elite takes pride in playing hard-nosed defense and capitalizing off forced turnovers.

This team is led by the unstoppable trio of Alex Steen, a 6-foot-7 forward that filled the stat sheet in a win against ATL Timberwolves. Steen had 18 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and got two blocks. Corey Stephenson, a 6-foot-4 guard, also had a great game with 19 points and seven rebounds, bringing his aggressive presence. The kid who runs the show, MJ Jones, a 6-foot-1 PG that continued his slashing abilities to the rack, finishing with 11 points and six assists. Patrick Shelly, a 6-foot-4 guard, pitched in with a double-double of 12 points and ten rebounds. This Hawks Elite team is as good as they come.
