Spring Preview Team 9 Breakdown

(#17) Amani Brown, 2024, Guard: The lightning-quick guard lives in transition. When he’s in the open court, he’s a blur as he advances the ball up the court. His speed makes him a nightmare matchup on defense.

(#22) Devin White, 2024, Guard: There’s nothing better than an unselfish guard that’s willing to share the wealth, and that’s exactly what White is. Because of his IQ and passing ability, White knows when to defer to teammates, but that doesn’t mean that he’s incapable of attacking. He runs the floor well and is a good finisher when he gets to the basket.

(#23) Qua’Narious Walker, 2024, Guard: Walker is a relentless guard that gives non-stop effort on both ends of the floor. When he’s hot, he’s incredibly difficult to slow down. He has the ability to develop into a pesky defender and a hard-to-stop lead guard.

(#58) Jeremy Middlebrooks, 2022, Center: Middlebrooks epitomizes the modern big man. He’s a stout rim protector down low, he can score on the block, and he steps out and hits from 3-point range. His versatility makes him a mismatch on both ends.

(#70) Tristan Armas, 2022, Guard: Armas is a pest of an on-ball defender. He’s quick enough to stay in front of his man, and he fights through screens to keep opponents from getting space. On the offensive end, Armas is a lights-out shooter.

(#93) Ryan Cooley, 2024, Wing: Cooley is a talented, young wing that uses his athleticism to play above the rim. He runs the floor well which allows him to be a lob target for guards. Cooley’s length allows him to be an elite defender. As he continues to develop, he could emerge as a must-see prospect.

(#188) Lawrence Simmons, 2021, Guard: Simmons has a solid build that helps him finish through contact and be a tough rebounding guard. As a defender, he pressures the ball well and generates turnovers. Another aspect of his game to look out for is his ability to execute in the mid-range.
