Sharpshooting Braeden Moore is one of Tennessee's best
Christ Presbyterian Academy (TN) 6-foot-8 junior Braeden Moore is a Mr. Tennessee Basketball finalist in Division II-A. He is one of the best, if not the best shooter in the state.
There isn’t much debate in that statement. The data supports such a claim. Moore is posting 21 points and 8.5 rebounds a game. His value at the next level comes from his shooting touch. On the season, he’s connected with 73 three-pointers.
What would winning Mr. Tennessee Basketball mean to him?
"It’s such an honor just to be nominated. It would be amazing to win, but winning a state championship with my team is the ultimate goal,” Moore said. “Without my teammates and coaches, I would not be in this position. I’m thankful to all those who voted and have supported me.”
Currently, the sharpshooter has also been busy catching the attention of high major college programs. Lately, it seems like every week Moore is announcing another offer. Top college programs such as Kansas, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Memphis, Missouri. Just to name a few, have offered Moore. They all are in hopes to lure him and add the outside shooting he displays so well.
Which schools are in the mix? Moore broke down five schools that have been consistent during his recruitment. This is not a top five list of his favorite programs, Moore added, but more so programs that are consistent with feedback.
TCU: “They have been recruiting me from the beginning and I have a good relationship with the coaches. I like Texas, Texas is awesome.”
Memphis: “I love the staff. They want me. I think I would fit well in their system. They need floor spacers like me. They have seen me play in person.”
Nebraska: “I think I will fit well in their offensive scheme. They want me bad, as well. I have built a good relationship with the coaches and some players.”
Arkansas: “They want me. They love to space and play and love my skill on the perimeter. The staff is awesome. I like the state of Arkansas.”
Missouri: “I have really good relationships with. I really like them. They love my character and think I can develop into a big time player.”
