HoopSeen Top-10 with Brianna Patton (Week of Feb. 1-7)
With more regions deciding against having a region tournament, the stakes are becoming higher and higher for each game. As the stakes get higher, the performances get even better. We saw a 60-ball in this weeks action! Here are the top-10 performers of the week.
Jason Edwards - Parkview
The Miles College commit had a big scoring week for Parkview. In a close loss to Grayson, Edwards went off for 45 points. En route to his 40-ball, Edwards showed what we saw from him all summer - his ability to score from multiple spots. In Parkview's win over South Gwinnett earlier in the week, Edwards led the Panthers with 23 points.
Dylan Garrington - North Oconee
The LaGrange commit was big in leading North Oconee to three region wins this week. In a win over East Hall, Garrington scored a game high 34 points and added 6 assits. He scored 13 points and 10 points in two wins earlier in the week.
Mannie Harris - Mitchell Co.
The Georgia Southern signee has made his presence felt since Mitchell County was finally able to begin their season. He had a spectacular game in a win over Randolph Clay, scoring 41 points. Harris should make an immediate impact for the Eagles next season.
Jordan Jones - Presbyterian Day
The Presbyterian Day senior had himself a night in a win over Strong Rock. Jones erupted for 60 points which I believe is the most points scored this season in the state. His range was on full display as he knocked down 13 3-pointers on the night.
Lamariyon Jordan - Dacula
The sophomore has a big time week for the Falcons. Proving himself to be a top 2023 prospect in the state, Jordan has shown he can score the ball at high volumes. In Dacula's win vs Habersham, he finished with 35 points and 8 rebounds. In a loss to Shiloh, he led Dacula with 24 points. In their most recent game, Jordan poured in 25 points in a big region win over Buford.
Chance Moore - McEachern
Moore's performance against Pebblebrook was huge, as McEachern pulled out the win to take over first place in the region. The Arkansas signee put up 32 points including the game winning 3-pointer. Moore has made McEachern a different team since returning from injury. He has the Indians looking like a legitimate threat for the AAAAAAA title.
Sammy Moss - East Coweta
Moss has been playing well all season for East Coweta. He helped lead the Indians to two region wins this week with his consistent production. In Saturday's win over Newnan, Moss led with 28 points. In their win earlier in the week vs Campbell, Moss added 21 points. Look for this 2022 prospect to have a strong end to the season heading into the spring.
Devin Pope - Cross Creek
Cross Creek picked up four region wins this week and Pope's consistent production was a big reason why. The senior had an extremely productive week for the Razorbacks, combining for 70 points in their four wins. Pope's highest scoring performance of the week came in their win vs Thomson where he finished with 25.
Lamarr Randolph - GAC
The available senior had a big time performance in GAC's region win over Carver. In his first game back in the lineup, Randolph finished with 32 points and 8 rebounds. Once he gets into his groove, Randolph is a tough player to stop.
James White - Heritage
Nursing an ankle injury, the Ole Miss signee looked to be returning to his normal form as he scored 30 points and brought in 10 rebounds in a region win over cross-town rival, Rockdale. The Patriots will rely on White to continue to produce and get his teammates involved as the state playoffs get going.
