Top underclassmen at the 2020 HoopSeen #ATLJAM, part II
The 2020 Atlanta Jam is in the books and our staff has gone through a weekend full of notes to compile our Best of series from the summer showcase. Today we take a look at the top overall underclassmen performers from the event.
One of the coolest things about the events we hold here at HoopSeen is finding guys like Brenen Lorient for Team Florida 2022. The 6-foot-9, unknown forward looks like your typical long and athletic Florida high-major recruit. Lorient tries to destroy the rim when he goes up. He has excellent timing on rebounds and blocking shots. One attribute that stood out in my first time seeing him was the size of his hands. He has pro-level size hands. He told HoopSeen he has no offers at this time. I say he has more than one by the end of the month. - Justin Byerly
Wheat has been as steady as any underclassman guard we’ve had on our circuit this shortened season. Each game out, he embodies what the modern guard is. Wheat plays fast and strong on both sides of the ball, making things especially difficult for opposing guards to get open and score. When he’s on offense, he is a heat seeking missile en route to the iron. Wheat has been consistently productive this travel season and is the engine to this quality PSB squad from the Nashville area. - Justin Young
Arrington played very well throughout the entire weekend, showing all facets of his game. He scored when he needed to score, especially shining in the open floor. Arrington is a quick guard from end to end. Most importantly, he rebounded with a great fervor. You could make an argument that he was one of the best rebounding guards in the entire field. The 6-foot guard is finishing up the summer and is poised for a big year at the prep level, assuming all goes as planend with the season ahead. Arrington left a good impression. - Justin Young
