Florida's Rebels 16U team has a rising star on their hands in Class of 2023 guard Jason Jackson.

The 6-foot-2 guard out of Riverview (FL) made a name for himself following a breakout freshman season, and he had a solid showing at the HoopSeen/Be The Beast Always Live Showcase for the Rebels, dropping 18 points in a Saturday win over Team Curry. 

This summer, Jackson picked up his first college offer, which came from Virginia Tech. He said he’s hoping to add to his offer list soon, and he’s talked with Wake Forest, Texas Tech and Florida Gulf Coast. 

Jackson has great size for a guard. At 6-foot-2, he doesn’t necessarily tower over anyone, but he has long legs and long arms, which can be a huge advantage for a guard. And boy can he throw it down. His jumper looked clean against Team Curry, but Jackson said his favorite part of the game is “getting to the basket.”

With Jackson still having three more years of high school basketball left, expect his game to continue developing and his short offer list to develop into a long offer sheet.
