Player evaluations from the HoopSeen Academy camps Part III

After a long break from the hardwood, there was an excitement in the air as 72 prospects from across the southeast converged to Suwannee Sports Academy. Our HoopSeen Academy featured prospects from every high school classification and gave us several memorable moments through the course of two days. Here is part III of our player evaluations.

Trevon Howze, 2021 G, Alcovy: Howze has been a constant contributor on our HoopSeen stage over the years. Flashes of that production was seen throughout the weekend as Howze has the measurements and skill set to catch your attention at any given moment. His ability to facilitate was impressive as it was the lone skill that had yet to be seen to date. As his shooting continues to improve, Howze will continue to up his stock to college recruiters.

Charles Stone, 2022 G, Columbus: Stone impressed everyone that took the time to watch his efforts this weekend. From facilitating to trying to make several posters, Stone didn't back down from a challenge at any point this weekend. The confidence level he played at was second to none and he scored the ball well, especially at the rim. Stone will be one to watch as he progresses throughout the years.

Blake McAlister, 2022 G, Alatoona: A decisive move or two was often enough to get the Allatoona guard to the rim. Although his size may not show it, McAllister holds some power in his frame that he put to good use. Shot blockers and weakside defenders would feel his presence as well as McAlisters strength allowed him to play bully ball in the paint. That ability to score should only get better with time as he grows older as a prospect.

Isaac Brito, 2021 G, Trinity Christian: Brito's name continued to resonate with our camp staff. As a true leader and a floor general, few players are able to impress without putting up a ton of numbers. Brito plays with great feel, and an outstanding pace. His ability to score the ball is impressive but it was his defensive ability that will carry him even further. Pound for pound, Brito could make a case for the best two-way prospect in the gym.

Justice Devone, 2021 G, Douglas County: Shot blockers that meet Justice Devone at the rim will need to pack some weight as he has the strength to absorb a lot of contact. It became a reoccurring theme to see defenders get bounced off of Devone as his frame didn't properly show how much strength he had at the rim. Given the physical makeup of Douglas County over the past few years, Devone fits the culture of a hard working senior to watch.

Jaylon Taylor, 2022 W, Buford: There's going to be a good amount of interest down the line for this uber talented prospect. Jaylon Taylor excelled well in transition and used his 6'6 frame to make tons of athletic plays. As Taylor continues to make strides in his ball handling, his athleticism and well rounded skill set should keep college coaches intrigued.

Robert Kell, 2022 F, Legion Collegiate: Kell's long term outlook is one to watch ass he's 6'7 skilled and plays with a motor. Although hes productive in the half court setting, Kell prefers to push the pace and play out in space. His ability to rebound allowed him to start the break himself which led to some easy scoring opportunities.

Keion Hampton, 2021 G, Greenforest: There was a clear emphasis on playing stellar defense from the Greenforest prospect. Keion Hampton put his strength to use as he would often body ball handlers off of their drives to the rim. While he didn't have many scoring opportunities, Hampton showed confidence in his shot. On a consistently deep Greenforest team he can make an impact with his defense and ability to be an offensive threat.

Nikolas Woodard, 2022 W, Taylor County: Woodard was one of the better outside threats at camp. When he found his rhythm he was capable of ringing off multiple threes in a row. From offensive rebounding to spotting up outside, Woodard put points on the board at a very efficient rate.
