Elijah Tucker recruitment update
When our 2021 rankings come out, no one player will have a bigger jump up the list than Cherokee forward Elijah Tucker. It's a well earned feat given his play throughout his junior season as Tucker made leaps and bounds in regards to his development. A few schools that projected his rise have already put themselves in the mix.
"Georgia Tech was my first offer. Middle Tennessee State, Iowa, Richmond, VCU, Northwestern, and St Johns."
At this point in his recruitment, Tucker mentioned Josh Pastner and company as the program that prioritizes him the most.
"Probably Georgia Tech. They're calling and texting me and stuff. Staying in touch. I went to their game against Louisville."
Even before the coronavirus took it's toll on on campus recruitment, Tucker didn't have any upcoming dates for on campus visits. Clemson, Georgia and Appalachin State, were his last unofficial stops.
"I didn't really have any set dates of when I wanted to go anywhere. I was just more waiting to see if a college coach asked if I wanted to come up I would say yea sure. I never really texted anyone to see if I could come up."
Even with a total of 55 dunks for the season it’s Cherokee 2021 forward Elijah Tucker’s perimeter skill that jumps off the tape. Very few players have the same production from both inside and out. An elite level face-up game, among other skills have kept coaches intrigued. pic.twitter.com/xIbxogrZtB

With no major changes in Tucker's recruitment, it will be interesting to see if other suitors get involved. With no scheduled visits or a hard timeline to commit, Tucker is taking his recruitment process in stride.
"I'm just taking it day by day. Whenever that feeling of home comes, that's when I'll commit."
