Baldwin stays humble and hungry

Kamar Baldwin is one of Georgia's most unique players. At 6-feet, he can play the five but he's at his best when he's the point guard. For three straight years, he's been one of the best scorers amongst his classmates in the 2016 group. Baldwin is one of the best defenders in the Peach State, too.

But you won't hear him brag. He's not going to post his personal accomplishments on various social media platforms. Baldwin is the ultimate "yes sir, yes ma'am" player. His coaches love him. College coaches that are recruiting him call him in a breath of fresh air.

Even after his team's important region road win at Salem last Friday night, Baldwin deflected any sort of praise that came his way.

"Everybody is contributing. We have other people scoring the pressure is off me and I like that. We have other guys that can contribute," Baldwin said. "I just continue to work every day. I want to do whatever my team needs me to do. You never know where your team needs you sometimes. I want to be ready for every opportunity."

Where does his humility come from?

"My mom, she holds me to a higher standard," Baldwin said with a smile. "She doesn't want me on Twitter or Facebook or any stuff like that. I thank her for that. It keeps me humble. When I'm bored, I go outside and works on my game."

His work is paying off. Baldwin said he has offers from George Mason, UNC Charlotte, Richmond, Middle Tennessee and Chattanooga. He added Clemson, Georgia, Stanford and Alabama are all showing interest, too.

Baldwin said he's been to Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and Tennessee unofficially so far.

What exactly will he be looking for in college?

"Whatever feels the most at home for me. Their style of play and how I can contribute to the team are probably the most important things for me," Baldwin said.
