Fall Preview II Team 7 evaluations

Our second fall preview camp is in the books as both players from Georgia and around the southeast met at Suwannee Sports Academy. As the players competed and showcased there skills, are staff branched out to tell their stories. Here are our evaluations for team 7.

Justin Bradley, 2021 G, Madison Academy: Bradleys aggressiveness was easy to see whenever he went one on one and burrowed his way to the rim. The long and energetic wing has the ability to be a downhill force, especially as he continues to tighten up his handle. His camp coach cited his great attitude as a teammate as he was a giver and not a taker of energy.

AJ Williams, 2022 G, Southeast Bulloch: A tight handle and the ability to absorb contact made AJ Williams a nightmare for the timid. Absorbing contact at the rim was commonplace as the sophomore guard has strength beyond his age. Williams got better as the referees loosed up and let him dish out contact as well.

Jesse Harbin, 2020 G, Johnson: One of the solid prospects for team seven, Jesse Harbin would fill the role of glue guy for the sake of his team. Although glimpses of great offense was seen, the senior guard made it a point to keep the ball moving to keep the offense in rythum. A nice stroke could catch someones attention at some point as he showed off his long range capabilities.

Alex Walters, 2021 G, Lovett: Anytime a shot would go up you could see the confidence of Alex Walters rise right along with it. One of his teams best shot makers would fill a void that was necessary to compete at camp. A nice arc would make closeouts pointless as whoever was late wouldnt have a chance to alter his shot.

Malachi Dooley, 2022 G, Habersham Central: Once some sophomore mistakes were out of his system, Malachi Dooley would go on to do some good things from the point spot. When the full-court pressure got heavy, Dooley would calm his nerves and play his pace. His urgency after a mistake was appreciated as he would pick up his energy defensively.

Leslie Black, 2023 F, Statesboro: The motor for freshman forward Leslie Black ran hot as he would effective the games with very limited scoring. As smalls tried to take advantage of him on the perimeter, Black would effectively use his length to make up for their quickness advantage. When given the opportunity from the low block, Black would keep the ball moving and set up teammates for layups.

David Felix, 2020 G, Dacula: Defensively Felix made his mark as a tough-nosed, high motor guard. Every burst of speed covered so much ground that he could cut off defenders and close down what seemed to be open passing lanes. The team came first for Felix as he would sacrifice his energy for defense instead of offense. Despite the size advantage of several post in attendance, Felix has no reservations about mixing it up on the glass.

DeAngelo Woods. 2022 G, Bishop Miege: Making the long treck from Missouri didn't slow down what was quietly a productive showing from the sophomore guard. A nifty in and out move along with others would make for some nice possessions offensively. Woods let the offense come to him, and when it did he was more than productive. The sophomore guard has a knack for creating points for himself and he does it with simplicity and ease.
