2019 South Carolina Fall Preview Spotlight: LeBron Thomas
During our HoopSeen Preview camps we get to see a number of prospects over the course of two months. Our latest camp was for South Carolina and one player really stole the show in our eyes was LeBron Thomas of Lee Central (SC) High School.
The 6-foot-2 sophomore guard played this spring and summer with F.I.B.A, based out of Florence, South Carolina. The low-country of South Carolina has had some big-time players come out of the area over the past few years and Thomas is tracking as a guy that could track to be on that same course.
What impressed us the most about Thomas was his unselfishness, his ability to rebound and his explosiveness when attacking the rim. He is a pass-first point guard that can score at will when he wants. He made mid-range jumpers and showed the ability to knock down shots beyond the three-point line consistently. Thomas has a high basketball IQ and just simply doesn't make mistakes.
He told HoopSeen that Alabama-Birmingham, USC-Upstate, South Alabama and Wichita State have been in to watch workouts recently at his high school.
