Improvement is the answer for Jaylen Fisher
There are few players that can impact the game like 2016 Arlington (TN) Bolton point guard Jaylen Fisher. With his talent, passion, and IQ of basketball, Fisher is one of a kind.
Nevertheless, the 6-foot playmaker is still focused on improving his game.
"I've been working on my jump shot. I'm in the gym working every day," Fisher told HoopSeen.com. "Teams already know I'm quick, so if I can improve my shot, teams will have to play up on me. That's just an easy way to get to the basket."
Fisher's consistency from behind the three-point line over the weekend at the Lighthouse Classic did show improvement from the past. Despite a foul-plagued game, he finished with 14 points.
The demand for Fisher is high on the recruiting trail. At this point, he holds several big offers and more can be expected.
"UConn, UNLV, Memphis, Baylor, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida are some of my offers right now."
The junior has yet to take much time with his recruitment. He has visited Memphis several times, including their midnight madness event in October, but nothing else.
Expect him to take a turn toward his recruitment heading into the spring.
