Our North Carolina Fall Preview camp is in the books and our staff of evaluators and coaches have gone through their notes of every player in the camp. Every. Single. One. Today we look closer at Team 5 from camp.

Nicholas Burns, Rocky River, 5-11, PG, 2020: One of the better passers that we saw at the camp. Burns also thrives on the defensive end. Guarding the oppositions best player, Burns kept his man in front of him and rarely let the player get by him. We like to see ball movement and Burns did a really good job of getting the ball from point A to point B. 

Davis Grooms, Lincolnton, 6-3, SG, 2020: Showed a nice shooting touch, knocking down a handful of shots from beyond the three-point line. He understands angles and had several strong entry passes to big men making a cut to the basket. On one possession, Grooms was a step or two over the half-court line and drilled a long three-pointer. 

Maddux Harrell, Chapin, 6-7, SF, 2020: Quick trigger small forward that can step out and knock down the long range shot. Harrell impressed our staff with his aggressiveness on countless possessions trying to dunk everything he could. He goes hard and has a great motor. Has good size at 6-foot-7 and stretches the floor. 

Trent Ostrander, Hunter Huss, 6-6, PF, 2020: Rough and rugged power forward that uses his size to bully smaller defenders. Really good job of rebounding his area. His footwork was impressive coupled with his ability to score over either shoulder in the paint with a soft touch. 

Jashaun Torrance, Mt. Tabor, 6-0, SG, 2021: Playing for one of North Carolina's best coaches, Andy Muse, at Mt. Tabor, Torrance showed he can knock down shots when called upon. Whether it was on the perimeter or beyond the 6-foot guard was letting it fly and making them consistently.
