2019 North Carolina HoopSeen Fall Preview Top performers: Part III
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Our HoopSeen Fall Preview took to the road and 80 players filled up the gorgeous Levine Center at Queens University on Sunday for a full day of action on the hardwood. We came away impressed with the field and a number of players stood out with their play. Here is the third round of top performers from the event.
Allen has a wide variety of offensive weapons and we saw a lot of them throughout the camp. The senior point guard is a confident player and that showed in his offensive attack. Allen scored on a step-back three. He was good as a stop and pop jumper. His explosive first step allows him to touch the paint and blow by his defender. Allen has good court vision and he has the ability to convert the flashy pass. Because of his frame, he can finish on defenders and score through contact.
The former Tennessee Tech commit has been solid since March on our HoopSeen stage playing with the Tennessee Bobcats. Bryson is not going to be the flashiest player on the floor or is he going to score every time he touches the ball. What Bryson will do is make the right play time and time again. He doesn’t make mistakes, he understands how to read defenses, he doesn’t turn the ball over and he gets his teammates involved. He took an unofficial visit to Lincoln Memorial on Saturday and has been hearing from UT-Chattanooga and Lipscomb lately. - Justin Byerly
As the youngest player at the camp, Felton looked like a guy who is ready for his story to start nationally. What a high ceiling he has. Felton ran the pick and roll very well and was aggressive enough to find himself at the free throw line often. Always strong with the ball, the young fella was constantly getting into the paint and scoring at the rim off the dribble. What a terrific day for Felton and he certainly made an impression with his play to the very end. - Justin Young
The big man had himself a really productive day. The face-up four man stretched the floor on offense with a nice and reliable three-point shot. He was consistent from deep and never wavered in shooting it. His shot has a really quick release to it. If he had some room to the rim, Harell tried to dunk everything. We liked his energy in every game he played. - Justin Young
The smooth shooting lefty who has committed to Western Carolina University showed what made Mark Prosser and staff make him a priority. He has a consistent shot from the outside all the way in to the mid-range pull up jumper. He does a really good job of breaking down defenses and getting into the paint. Either finishing at the rim or hitting the little floater. He jumps the passing lanes and is really good handling the ball or running in transition. Massey should fit right in the Southern Conference with his positional size and athleticism. - Justin Byerly
