2014 Lighthouse Classic Preview

The Egg Bowl won't be the only big event going on in Mississippi this weekend, as some of the best high basketball teams and prospects from the South will converge in Corinth, Mississippi for the second-annual Lighthouse Classic.

The event runs Friday and Saturday, matching up some of the premiere programs in the country.

Callaway, one of the best programs in the state of Mississippi State, will face off against Madison Prep (LA) and Miller Grove (GA). Those three games will boast seniors Malik Newman and Brandon Sampson, along with stud junior point guard Alterique Gilbert.

The Lighthouse Classic will also have its own part of the Egg Bowl, as signees from Ole Miss and Mississippi State will go head-to-head Saturday night. Future Rebel Donte Fitzpatrick will visit future Bulldog Quinndary Weatherspoon, as Southwind takes on Velma Jackson.

Host-team Corinth will welcome Bolton (TN) and one of the top point guards in the 2016 class, Jaylen Fisher, on Friday night.
