TNP beat the DTA Academy 68-48 to win the 14 and under division of the Best of the South tournament on Sunday. 

Jayson Nixon led TNP with 22 points from all over the court including five made three-point baskets with Jake Gustafson also adding 17 points and three three-pointers of his own. TNP jumped out to an early 23 point lead and were able to fight off a strong comeback from DTA Academy who cut their lead to only 5 points.

Jack Janicki led DTA Academy with 14 points from strong drives and was able to get to the foul line numerous times. Benjamin Kopetzki also added 11 points with multiple three-pointers. With only 5 players, DTA didn’t have enough manpower at the end and ran out of gas.
