Top 3 Breakout Players from NCAA Georgia team camp
The NCAA Georgia stage was a great opportunity for players to play on a good stage. These three guys, who we know well, continued to write stories.
Caleb Murphy, Grayson High School, SG, 2020
Murphy is a true-combo guard who has continued to expand his caught my attention immediately once the game began. He complements Grayson perfect with his smooth handle and his ability to attack the basket. Murphy and Deivon Smith will be a vicious backcourt this upcoming season.
Isaiah Nelson-Ododa, Winder Barrow, PF, 2022 pictured
I hadn’t heard too much about him prior to watching Winder Barrow play Woodstock but I was very impressed with his performance. The 2021 6’9 Forward started the game rather quiet but in the second half he turned into a monster going on a scoring tear with 4 straight mid-fans jumpers followed by strong post play and at least 3 blocks. Nelson-Ododa has a rather thin frame but is very active in the post and runs the floor well. I’m interested to see how he plays in the upcoming season.
Scoot Henderson, Kell, G, 2021
This kid is flat out relentless. He plays with unmatched energy and you can see the will to win in his eyes. He has a very versatile game and was able to get inside and excels at mid-range jumpers. He definitely turned the heads of some college coaches this weekend picking up offers from Ole Miss, Florida and Florida State all of whom were in attendance for his game against Grayson.
