With the high school season looming, Norcross is always a team that has a lot of buzz. This year is no different. One of those Blue Devil players that has been creating a lot of that buzz is 2017 prospect Rayshaun Hammonds.

Hammonds, who is new to the Norcross program, has been a standout at many of the fall camps and events around Atlanta and looks like a player that will be the topic of a lot of talk this season. However, one word will likely be used a lot to describe him: versatile.

“I can play a lot of different places. I think I can be anywhere from a shooting guard to playing the post,” said Hammonds of his versatility.

Hammonds is a long 6-foot-7 and is a nightmare for anyone trying to match up with him. He is a high ceiling player with potential that will be continued to be tapped into.

“Norcross has always been able to produce talent. The player development here is going to help me a lot,” said Hammonds.

Look for a lot of the power conference schools to be in on Hammonds if his development continues. He could be one of the big breakout players in the state of Georgia that makes a name for himself this year.
