16U Black Championship: Georgia Stars 65, Atlanta Xpress 51
The Georgia Stars and The Atlanta XPress battled it out in the afternoon session for the right to be named Bob Gibbons TOC Champions. With all that was on the line, the game began chippy and stayed that way throughout with Georgia Stars winning 65-51.
The scoring from the perimeter was the difference maker for The Georgia Stars with point guard LJ Thomas pouring in 19 points and the shooting of Quincy Ademokoya. The 6-foot-6 wing knocked in four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points.
The Atlanta XPress just could not get it going from outside and looked to have ran out of steam from a long weekend of basketball. The hot shooting Will Richards’ had going in the earlier game wasn’t in the cards this time with everything at stake.
