Ta'Lon Cooper to Morehead State
Morehead State made a trip to Dorman high school this past week that appears to have put them over the top as Upward Stars Upstate guard Ta'Lon Cooper gave his verbal commitment late this Sunday evening.
" It felt like home. I felt like one in the family. From there it just took over. I built a relationship with coach Spradlin and coach Mattox. They played a big role. They always contacted me every day. Talked about something every day. It was more than basketball for them.
Cooper gives the Eagles a scoring threat in the 2019 class that has good size for both positions. There were several schools that followed Cooper around at our Best of the South but his recruitment started to heat up well before the July live period. Cooper made his name at this past year Bob Gibbons TOC as he held his own in a head to head matchup against 5 star guard Anthony Edwards.
" When I played against Anthony(Edwards) my recruitment took off from there. They(Morehead State) always stook around and stayed in touch from there. It was just another game to me. I'm always ready to take on a big name person. Whenever my name is called ill be ready."
Cooper marks the first commitment for Morehead State in the 2019 class. The Eagles are sure to prioritize size now as they turn their sights to EAB big man Julius Dixon.
