Cameron Neysmith's 5 Friday Takeaways at #BOTS

Team M.O.A.M really impresses

Team M.O.A.M may not have the names as some of the other really good teams playing here this weekend. They don’t allow that to affect their play at all. In fact, this Florida squad might boast the toughest competition at the #BOTS. Going 2-0 on the day, Team M.O.A.M got impressive wins over Team Power and Team Thad. M.O.A.M is a very well coached and well-disciplined team that also happens to have really good talent. Kaleb Coleman, Hunter Cattor, and Dante Love all played really well giving this team the offensive firepower it needed to get their W’s. Big man Max Fielder and wing Nate Louis gives this team a complete that will make them the hardest team to beat here throughout the weekend. Look for these players recruitment to pick up coming off some great play so far at the #BOTS

Butts is ready

Starting from one of our first events of the AAU season at the Georgia Cup, Devin Butts has gotten progressively better each time he touches the floor. There was no different tonight when he stepped in between the lines against Team Power. Butts was doing a little bit of everything getting to the rim and finishing, getting to the free throw and of course knocking down 3’s. His recruitment has really picked up hard in July and I don’t believe it will slow down any time soon.

Team Thad is must watch Basketball

Team Thad was the most talented team on paper in the gym today. With the likes of Dj Jeffries, Jaykwon Walton, Daniel Ramsey, Kyky Tandy, and other division 1 prospects Team Thad had the sidelines loaded with all types of coaches and for the most part, they didn’t disappoint. Each of these players continuously made high-level plays that had coaches salivating at the thought of having them in their program when their times comes. Look for Team Thad to make noise as throughout the weekend here at #BOTS as their individual in the entire field is unmatched.

Atlanta Timberwolves: model of consistency

Atlanta Timberwolves have been at almost all almost all the HoopSeen events this AAU season, and they never disappoint. With a really solid group of players that play really well together on a consistent basis, it was only a matter of time that coaches made their way to see what this group was about. I was happy to see a plethora of coaches coming to watch both of their games today. Atlanta Timberwolves, who is loaded with D2/low D1 players in Austin Sloan, Jordan Krueger, Alex Kelehear, Jon Morgan, and 2020 Jack Kostel, are accomplishing their goal of playing well in front of coaches. It’ll be interesting to see where each player recruitment goes after his weekend as they continue to play good consistent basketball.

Edwards Best scorer in Country?

It’s no secret that 2020 guard Anthony Edwards can score. But, is he the best scorer in the country, regardless of class? He continued his offensive prowess today scoring 26 points in the Atlanta Express win today. He makes scoring look so effortlessly and if you were to have any high school player in the country to score a bucket I think you would be hard pressed to pick anyone besides Edwards. It’ll be very interesting to see how is progress goes moving forward but it’s definitely safe to say that Anthony Edwards is a walking bucket.
