#ATLJAM: Unsigned Senior Watch
One of the good things about the Atlanta Jam every year is the amount of talented unsigned seniors in the event. There were a handful of players that stood out on Saturday at the Atlanta Jam.
Jacob Tracy, Florida Elite, SG: The strong-bodied combo guard has consistently played well at the Atlanta Jam over the years. On Saturday morning against the Hawks Elite he played the role of a guy that could compete in the Southern low-major conferences. Tracy got to the rim with little trouble, passed well and didn’t shy away from a defensive battle.
Eli Lawrence, South Fulton Lions, SG: The 6-foot-4 All-State guard from Tri-Cities (GA) High School pumped in 15 impressive points in a win over Chattanooga Elite Grey. Lawrence is crafty, ever-improving and long for his position. Division II and low-majors should jump into the mix.
Nick Edwards, Atlanta All-Stars, PG: The Grayson (GA) point guard is going to make a program very happy once he gets to college. Few guys are as battle-tested and proven at the highest high school level in the South than Edwards. He’s a gamer and has been a key piece for the Atlanta All-Stars this weekend.
Christian Connor, Atlanta Lightning, SG: The Parkview (GA) guard has put together two nice outings so far for the Lightning against quality opponents. The 6-foot-4 combo guard shot well, got to the foul line and was consistent. Division II and junior colleges should get a look at him.
Jon Morgan, Atlanta Timberwolves, SG: He’s bouncy. Boy is he bouncy. He’s an unassuming guy that can and will go through the lane and dunk on un-expecting defender in the paint. Morgan is a fun point producer that can make a splash at a Division II low-major or NAIA school.
Brock Jancek, Tennessee Bobcats, PF: The big man from Knoxville has enjoyed a nice start to the Atlanta Jam. He shines in the power game and likes to find contact in and around the cup. A handful of good Division II schools and low-majors have locked in and watched him this weekend. It will be interesting to see which schools jump into the picture for him.
