Can Mercer pull off a Khavon Moore commitment?

Khavon Moore is the best player to come out of Middle Georgia since Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. And Mercer has known this for quite some time.

The Bears were the first college to offer the Westside prospect a scholarship. They were the first school to see him play a varsity game. Head coach Bob Hoffman was a constant at Moore's games on the travel circuit...every year.

Moore will take an official visit to the hometown school this weekend. He broke his leg at the end of the regular season, ending his high school career earlier than anyone would have liked.

Moore will take an official visit to Texas Tech next weekend and to Oklahoma in two weeks. Tennessee, Ohio State and Louisville are also involved.

But Mercer, well, don't count them out. We've been saying that for three years now. The Bears are most certainly a player here.
