Best of The Elite Preview: Class of 2017
A handful of freshmen earned invites to The Elite Preview. The few that made it into camp did their best to show they belonged amongst the state's best in Georgia. Here are the top 2017 performers from our staff of Justin Young and Robert Alfonso, Jr.

DeAndre Ballard, Southwest Atlanta Christian - When it comes to scoring, the 6-foot-5 guard was one of the better players in the camp. Ballard knows how to pour it in from the wing. He can handle the ball, loves to attack and will be a player that spends a lot of time at the foul stripe. Georgia's 2017 class is still full of unanswered questions as we move into the spring. What isn't in question is Ballard's place amongst this classmates. He's one of the best in the Peach State and will be one to watch in the spring and summer. - JY |

Brian Coffey, Wesleyan- A point guard on the rise, Coffey did not shy away from mixing it up against his older peers. The Wesleyan product soaked everything being told and executed it throughout the entire afternoon. He has a good feel for the game with the ability to get to the basket with a quick first step. Coffey has a nice mid-range touch. His lateral movement is solid on both ends of the floor with quick hands. - RA |

Victor Enoh, Greenforest Christian- Outside of the obvious physical gifts, Enoh showed off the things he's very good at - playing hard, rebounding and commanding the middle of the paint. The freshman is a unique physical player and distracts incoming drivers from trying to score at the rim. - JY |

Naquante Hardy, Southwest Dekalb - Hardy shot it well from the perimeter, attacked the rim with speed and confidence and bounced between both guard spots nicely. He gained confidence as the event moved forward and so did his production. Hardy will be a fun one to watch over the next three years moving forward. - JY |

Bebe Iyola, Greenforest Christian - His blue collar approach was well appreciated by evaluators and onlookers alike. His motor allowed him to grab rebounds in and out of his area. He defended with great purpose and made his presence felt by taking on the challenge of defending as many big men that came across the low blocks. Iyola had a great freshman season and stood toe-to-toe with the best of the best at The Elite Preview. - JY |

Zion Williams, Savannah - One of the quickest guards in camp, the Savannah native was splendid. He raced up and down the floor with strong ball handling skills and excellent. His court vision was on the dime. Williams is not afraid to get to the basket and contest taller players finishing with contact. Look for more from him this spring and summer as defenders will find it difficult to keep up with this freshman. - RA |
