The Tri-Cities Southern States Classic was a great stage to explore some under the radar players. Here are Tai’s 5 from the even last weekend.

Titus Hunter, Tri-Cities: Hunter was a man amongst boys for Tri-Cities High School. The athletic junior constantly got to the rim and once there he didn't disappoint. He consistently made defenders bounce off of him and the others he rose up over. He plays significantly bigger than his size and should be a guy that shoulders even more responsibility after this class of seniors. He was a major factor in Tri-Cities win.

Josh Dupree, Fayette County: Dupress is a very intriguing talent in the 2019 class. He has great size and has a tool box of skills to choose from. He paced Fayette Co. With a good mix of points and assist and should be a guy that could have a breakout season as a senior. 

Lorenzo Ferrell, Rutherford Co. (FL): A legit prospect as a 6'5 PG. He had five three-pointers in the game, many of which were off the bounce from Deep. He took over when the game got closed and maintained great feel of his teams play. The unsigned senior is sure to get looks down the stretch as he continues this hot shooting. 

John Young, Tri-Cities: Young gets better as a player every time I see him with the ball in his hands. The unsigned senior from Tri-Cities is playing with more patience but still knows how to fill up the box score. He hit multiple threes and maintained his ability to get in the paint to make a play. Its no surprise he has heard from some 4-year schools and I expect many more to get to the bulldogs gym soon. 

Treylan Smith, Marietta: Smith was a non-stop force throughout all for four quarters for Marietta. Diving on the floor, tough layups in traffic, if you can name it he did it. The strong combo guard consistently got to the free throw line with non-stop aggression to the basket. Smith had huge performance simply from playing harder than anyone else.
