2017 Georgia Fall Preview: Team 11 Evals
The 2017 Georgia Fall Preview is in the books and we begin our team-by-team evaluations from our loaded Saturday at Suwanee Sports Academy.
Donovan Grant, Campbell, 2019: The 6-foot-5 wing has a lot of intrigue for his size and position. He’s a long and athletic forward that was always engaged in what was happening on the floor. He did his best work when he was around the cup and scored when he was within 10 feet of the basket.
Amari Kelly, Meadowcreek, 2018: The 6-foot-7 forward was one of the top overall performers from the camp. The future Duquesne forward was an easy choice for our top perfumer list. Read more about his day HERE.
Jamal Lewis, Deerfield Windsor, 2019: The 5-foot-10 guard knocked down a handful of pull up jumpers. He can dial it up from three and did a nice job of scoring off the class. We like his size as a wing forward.
Orenthal Rhynes, Claxton, 2018: The 6-foot-5 forward did a nice job on this stage, scoring inside and out and proving himself as a reliable rebounder and post defender.
Zyrice Scott, Upson Lee, 2019: The 5-foot-11 guard was one of the best defenders at the camp. He wanted to guard the opposition’s best player and liked the opportunity to do so. Scott plays with speed and purpose. He did a nice of job of getting the ball inside to the hot hand, too.
Stantravious Smith, Sherwood Academy, 2018: The 6-foot-3 senior is one of Georgia’s top available players in the class of 2018. He’s a terrific scorer that can fill it up from all three levels. He’s a good shooter with good instincts. Smith had a 27-point outing in one of the games, which shouldn’t be a big surprise if you’ve watched him play. Smith knows how to fill it up. Low-majors will want to invest some time in watching him this high school season.
Julius Wingfield, Claxton, 2018: There was a lot to like about the 6-foot-4 wing. We like his fame. He’s long and and strong with the ball. He’s a capable wing to rim wing scorer that knocked down an open three. As he improves his ball-handling and attacking decisions, Wingfield could make an impact this high school season.
