Elite Preview 2020-2021: Team 7

The Elite Preview 2020-2021 camp was loaded with the next wave of talent in the Southeast. We begin our team-by-team player evaluations from the Oct. 15 camp.

Broc Bidwell, West Forsyth (GA), 2021: It was a good weekend for the floor general. He showed off a good handle and that opened up the floor for great passes. He also shined as a very good shooter with deep range on his shot. From start to finish, Bidwell impressed throughout. - Justin Young

Brandon Boston, Norcross (GA), 2020: One of the top 10 overall performers from the Elite Preview 2020-2021, the 6-foot-5 do-everything maintained the belief that he is one of the best prospects in Georgia. Read more about his performance HERE. - Justin Young

Imre Earls, East Hall (GA), 2021: The 5-foot-11 guard proved himself as a good shooter off the catch and found his moments to get buckets. As he grows in the game, he’ll need to get better off bounce as a scorer. - Justin Young

Blake Floyd, Pelham (AL), 2021: Armed with a good handle, Floyd knew when he was in space to shoot, where he was at his best, and when to pass. Improved lateral quickness will open up his game. - Justin Young

Darius Gaddy, Wheeler (GA), 2020: - One of the biggest players in the camp, Gaddy was a load to defend. He knows how to use his size to create space on the offensive end. That said, as he improves his footwork on the low block, he could be real problem for the Wildcats down the road. Plenty of size to work with and improve as we look ahead. - Justin Young

Sam Hines, Jr., St. Francis (GA), 2020: One of the nice surprises of the day, the 6-foot-4 guard played hard throughout the event and delivered with energy plays. He flat out competes. Hines rebounds well and was one of the better defenders at the camp. He is a big time athlete with a terrific frame. Shooting will be the area of improvement moving forward. - Justin Young

Cameron Sheffield, Chattahoochee (GA), 2020: If you are looking for a “blow up” type of player this season in Atlanta, keep Sheffield’s name on your short list. He’s a good catch-and-shoot three-point shooter with length. The 6-foot-4 guard’s confidence grew as the day grew older. We liked how he played on Sunday and like the direction he’s going. - Justin Young
