Adam Kunkel makes pledge to Belmont
2018 Cooper (KY) guard Adam Kunkel only needed a second re-assurance to make his college destination final. After a weekend official visit to Belmont, the talented guard mad this pledge to Rick Byrd and the Bruins.
"I've been to Belmont twice now and both times I just fell in love. I knew it was the spot for me from the beautiful campus to getting to hangout with the players and the whole culture of Belmont," Kunkel explained to HoopSeen.com.
Belmont has done a masterful job recruiting to their system under head coach Rick Byrd and being a successful Ohio Valley Conference program. Kunkel and Byrd both developed a relationship that was vital to the senior's commitment.
"Coach Byrd is doing great things and after talking to him, I knew Belmont was my future home."
Kunkel, a 6-foot-2 guard, also considered Chattanooga, Lipscomb, Indiana State, and Wofford.
He wraps up a solid three-man class for the Belmont, as he joins Mitch Listau and Derek Sabin.
