Team Manimal withstood a furious RSD Red comeback to win the Atlanta Jam championship.

Trailing 24-11 at the half, RSD began to speed up Team Manimal and started draining threes to climb back into the game. John Windley buried three of RSD Red’s six second half threes to lead the charge. Windley finished with a team-high 13 followed by Kobe Tibbs’ 11.

With the score at 43-42, RSD Red missed three consecutive free throws on back-to-back trips in a 15 second span which could have either tied the game or given them the lead with under a minute to play.  With 12 seconds left Team Manimal’s Samuel Conley blocked a three in the corner to deny an open look.

RSD had one final possession to tie the game, but they were unable to get a shot off before the buzzer. Isaiah May powered Team Manimal to the finish line with nine of his game-high 17 points coming in the second half. Spencer Balvo netted eight of his 10 points in the opening 16 minutes.
