Francisco making one last impression
17U Showtime Ballers’ Sylvain Francisco (West Oaks Academy) rose to the occasion against A.O.T’s ballyhooed backcourt of Sharife Cooper, Isaac Okoro and Marcus Watson.
The electric 6-foot-1 guard caught fire, pouring in 21 points, six rebounds and four steals in a 76-54 victory while sitting out the final eight minutes of the game. A native of France, “Frenchie” unleashed a barrage of deep threes and slung out his bow and arrow after connecting each time.
His finest moment came on a drive down the lane resulting in a ferocious posterizing slam on Okoro.
Kansas State, Texas, Louisville and Rhode Island have all offered the lead guard but Francisco is taking his time.
“Right now I’m just trying to wait because a lot of coaches get fired right now.” The unsigned senior is waiting to go on visits until the coaching carousel slows down and he gets a feel what direction each program is heading in.
