Despite not getting the chance to lace up his sneaks at the Tarkanian Classic this week, Jalen Green decided to make the short trip from his Fresno, California abode and get the chance to see the action at Bishop Gorman High. Quite possibly one of the best basketball prospects in the entire gym on Friday, Green caught HoopSeen up to speed on his quickly developing recruitment and his thoughts on how things got to where they currently stand.

A 6-foot-4 guard-wing that can play all three spots on the perimeter, there is no denying the talents or upside out of the California native. Now suiting up at San Joaquin Memorial High School for his first year of play, the member of the 2020 class is the type of ballplayer that can check every portion on the final stat sheet. Green can shoot it, pass it, has sneaky athleticism, and major instincts that he displays on  both ends of the floor, hence his high-level recruitment early on.

Entering the USA Basketball trials back in October, there was little to nothing known about the 6-foot-4 freshman. Following the few days spent in Colorado Springs, many were taken aback at the talent and versatility of Green, someone that has also been humbled from the quick attention. “It has just been crazy and shocking, but fun,” the San Joaquin Memorial star stated. “Being a freshman and getting all these offers, I am just going to keep working hard and hopefully it all works out.”

Rattling off offers from UNLV, Fresno State, Florida State, Creighton, Arizona, and USC, it is pretty impressive that such high-level programs have become sold on a prospect that has yet to turn 15 years old. Still, Green remains focused and determined through the process and after visiting Fresno State a few times in recent weeks, a trip to UNLV is lined up for this weekend during his time out in Sin City. Another could also be on the horizon to USC whenever his schedule lines up appropriately.

In the meantime, while the action  of play at the Tarkanian Classic has brought more than enough talent and entertainment to the hardwood this week, look for Jalen Green to further his case in the coming years as one of the very best that the 2020 class has to show for itself.
