Alabama Fall Preview Spotlight: Logan Dye
At the Alabama Elite Preview in March, not many players boosted their stock more than Haleyville (AL) power forward Logan Dye. That day, Dye went from relative unknown to many, to one of the top players in Alabama’s 2018 class.
At this year’s Alabama Fall Preview, Dye’s stock continued to rise.
Dye used his size and skills on the block to be an offensive force that was hard to match up with in camp. Not only is he a powerful player on the block, he has the alpha mentality that nobody is going to stop him when he catches the ball in position to score. Aside from his skills on the block, he also showed his capabilities to stretch the floor and shoot the ball from the perimeter, adding another dimension to his game.
The 6-foot-8 post told HoopSeen that he currently holds an offer from Samford as well as interest from a number of schools from the Ohio Valley, Southern, and Southeastern conferences. He is also planning on taking visits over the next three weekends to Murray State, Alabama, and Ole Miss to attend football games.
Dye is currently ranked the number six player in the HoopSeen Alabama 2018 rankings, and he will be a player that coaches should be keeping tabs on over the course of the next calendar year.
