Malik William makes the call for Clemson
After a successful July period on the travel circuit, 2017 Orlando (FL) The First Academy power forward Malik William wrapped up his recruitment by giving his verbal pledge to Clemson on Wednesday.
William, a 6-foot-7 big man, has proved over the past year that he is one of the premiere post passers in the country. Capable of dishing out full court outlet passes, there is much intrigue that comes with William. The rising senior also has the ability to stretch the floor with his shooting ability from the perimeter.
"Coach [Brad] Brownell and I have a great relationship," William told HoopSeen.com. "He always showed his face at my games, and that meant a lot to me."
William's relationship with Brownell isn't the only thing that drew him to the ACC school. Clemson also presents the chance to see the floor early in his career.
"I see Clemson as a great opportunity to come in and start as a freshman."
William is Clemson's second commitment for the 2017 class, joining hometown sharpshooter A.J. Oliver, the No. 76 overall prospect in the HoopSeen125.
