Lance Thomas breaks down his final four schools
2017 Norcross (GA) power forward Lance Thomas had a big travel season on the EYBL circuit with Team United. After going through the summer months, the 6-foot-9 versatile 4 man earned many different scholarship offers from schools from all across the country. On Tuesday, Thomas took a step closer to making his college decision, as he cut his list to four schools: Florida, Louisville, Miami, and USC.
Despite being 6-foot-9, Thomas has an impressive skill-set, especially at his size. He has the ability to stretch the floor and shoot the ball from 3, as well as handle the basketball on the perimeter. College coaches have been enamored by his growth and potential.
Thomas broke down what he likes about each school remaining in his final four:
Florida: "They have been in contact for a long time. They have a young staff and group. I like what they are building down there."
Louisville: "Coach [Rick] Pitino is a Hall of Fame coach and he wants me to come in and make an impact. I've been in contact with someone on the staff every day since they first called."
Miami: "Miami has been on me for a long time. Coach [Jim] Larranaga contacts me or my mom every day."
USC: "Coach [Andy] Enfield has been talking to me the longest. He has attended almost every game I've played in this summer, too. I've noticed that."
Thomas has yet to set any official visit dates, but he plans to move on those shortly after the summer concludes. He has an idea of when a final decision will come.
"After I take all of my official visits I will make my decision. I'm going to sign early, though."
