Khalil Garland eyes visit to LSU this weekend
Since de-committing from Memphis after Josh Pastner’s departure in April, things have been very busy for 2017 Little Rock (AR) Parkview wing Khalil Garland. The smooth slasher has heard from a variety of different schools from all across the country. With that being said, he is utilizing June as a month to take some visits and get to know colleges better.
Last weekend, Garland, the No. 117 player in the HoopSeen125, made the short trip to Fayetteville to see Arkansas. The Razorbacks are making the in-state talent a priority.
“The visit went really well,” he told HoopSeen.com.
With that trip now in the rear-view mirror, Garland now turns his eye to another SEC school. This weekend, he will make a trip down to the Bayou to see LSU. Following that visit, he hopes to see Alabama at the end of month, as well as possibly Oregon.
All the aforementioned schools have extended scholarship offers to Garland. However, they aren’t the only ones involved in his recruitment. Many other BCS-level programs are intriguing by the athletic slasher and his ability to get to the rim.
“LSU, Creighton, Alabama, Oregon, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Arkansas-Little Rock, and Memphis have offered me,” Garland explained. “UConn, Florida, and Baylor are a couple that are showing interest.”
