#Gibbons 14U: Sports Academy Team Glen Davis 67, Game Elite FL 62
Sports Academy Team Glen Davis erased a 36-26 halftime deficit to win the 14U title at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions. Joe Bamisile ignited Game Elite out of the gates scoring 19 first half points as the Florida-based team raced out to an early 30-19 lead. In the second half the tables turned as Sports Academy broke off a 13-0 run to open up, taking a 39-36 lead.
Sports Academy used a balanced attack that saw four players reach double figures. Jalen Cook was named tournament MVP for his work over the weekend including his team-leading 14 points in the finals. Jaydon Carter finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals. LaDamien Bradford contributed 12 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks. Kantrell Garnett chipped in 11 points.
Bamisile ended the day with a game-high 34 for Game Elite to go with his seven rebounds and two blocks. Corey Walker did his damage in the paint with 13 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks in the loss.
