Opening night of the Georgia Cup III was a busy one with a number of good games in our high school division. We look back at the first night of action from Suwanee Sports Academy. 

FRIDAY NIGHT NOTABLES 

Adrian Martin had a nice night for AC Georgia. The 2018 SG from AC Georgia/Lanier (GA) High School scored 16 points in his team's win. Martin said he has an offer from Alcorn State and interest from Davidson, Stetson, Tennessee Tech and App State. 

AC Georgia 16U big man Kalu Ezipke had a nice night in a close win. The 6-foot-6 forward is a great above-the-shoulders big man that was good on the glass. It was a nice start for the Discovery High School post. 

Adrian Cohen of Active Elite has enjoyed a good spring at our HoopSeen events. The 6-foot-5 wing forward should have a big year at Woodstock (GA) Etowah next year with new head coach Allen Whiteahart. Cohen is a hard-playing outside-in type of forward that can shine on both ends of the floor. He continued his great spring play on Friday night. 

RJ Kelly of Active Elite/Cumberland Christian tells us he will take a visit to Savannah State on Saturday. The 2016 available forward is also considering Jacksonville State, NC Wesleyan and Snead State.

NOTES FROM THE NOTEPAD

Donell Nixon is one of the more consistent guards in our Cup circuit this year. The class of 2019 point guard has piloted his team playing up this year and winning along the way. Like his winning attributes. 

KJ Jenkins of Team Atlanta has been very good in our Georgia Cup circuit. He played well once again in our 16U division and continues his successful travel season. 

Like the way Weber Sandlin can score. The Atlanta Timberwolves guard can shoot, drive and get baskets at all three levels. 

BCB Black point guard Blake McIntyre is a fun player to watch. Good speed, good feel, good results. 

Tae Hardy of Champion’s Chance did what he always does - he got buckets. The Miller Grove scorer will keep the scorekeepers busy throughout the weekend.
