Every year at HoopSeen events, there are sleepers that make their way onto the forefront and show their talent on the biggest stage. This year was no different. Here are a few story starters from this year’s Atlanta Jam:

1. Tyriek Railey, Jacksonville Magic, 2017: Railey is a smaller guard that provides a big punch. He was one of the biggest point producers of the event, scoring in a variety of ways and from different levels of the court. He showed that despite his size, he is more than tough enough to compete at the Division I level and should be seen by mid major and low major coaches. Railey has heard from a number of low and mid major schools already including UNC Asheville, Jacksonville, Georgia Southern, and North Florida. He has also been in contact with Stetson since the Atlanta Jam.

2. Damir Hadzic, Team Blueprint, 2017: Size and skill is a deadly combination. Hadzic proved that he had both at Atlanta Jam. Playing the power forward position at a well-built 6-foot-8, Hadzic showed that he has a diverse skill set that includes being able to shoot the ball from deep as well as put the ball on the floor for one and two dribble moves. This diverse skill set and size made him a matchup nightmare. Despite only being in the country for a few months, the European import already holds an offer from Fairfield and interest from a lot of low major schools from the northeast.

3. Jaylon Hall, Western Kentucky Elite, 2017: Hall is a guard with a ton of size and length. Playing the point guard position this weekend while standing about 6-foot-5, there is plenty to be intrigued about when it comes to his game. He is very shifty off of the dribble and can use the bounce to make plays for his teammates as well as find his own scoring. He was one of the most eye opening guards in the field, and low majors and mid majors should be all over this one. Hall currently holds interest from Wyoming and Morehead State, but look for that list to expand soon.
