Tyshaun Crawford lands first scholarship offer, looks to add more
The past few weeks have been a busy time for 2017 Griffin (GA) center Tyshaun Crawford. After Middle Tennessee State upset Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament, head coach Kermit Davis extended the 6-foot-11 big man his first scholarship. While it was a special moment for Crawford, more could come in the next few weeks.
“It felt great. It was a blessing to receive the scholarship from Middle Tennessee. It just showed me that the hard work is paying off, so I just have to stay focused,” Crawford told HoopSeen.com.
Playing with Team Forrest on the travel circuit, the high-upside big man is expected to land some more scholarship offers over the next few weeks. Several high-major programs are already recruiting him.
“Georgia, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Florida International, and Kennesaw State are interested.”
Crawford has had a couple of opportunities to take some visits, too. He has recently visited Kennesaw State, Georgia Tech, and Middle Tennessee State.
Be sure to catch Crawford and his teammates at the Atlanta Jam during the first April evaluation period!
