The Berkeley Prep National Hoopsfest is due to bring some of the very best prospects to the Tampa area on January 22 and 23. With tons of talent throughout the state of Florida, it wasn’t too difficult to showcase the top talent that the area could provide. However, others such as Huntington Prep from West Virginia, St. Benedict’s Prep from West Virginia, and Memphis Germantown out of Tennessee, are all planning to suit up on the floor at Tampa Berkeley High in two weeks.

While the out of state teams definitely have enough talent to challenge some of the better squads from the Sunshine State, those from Florida definitely will bring their best to the table. Such programs as Montverde Academy, Oldsmar Christian, Tampa Catholic, and Bartow, which each boast at least one, elite prospect in the coming years, should more than excited during its time in Tampa.

With tons of top shelf talent on display, we give you the quick rundown on the best of the best that will be showcased during the two-day event in Tampa, Florida.

• Troy Baxter, Oldsmar Christian, 2016: Baxter is a 6-foot-8 forward headed to South Florida in the fall and what a giant steal he is for Orlando Antigua and company! One of the best athletes in all of high school ball, Baxter loves to get out and run the floor where he can finish at the rim with ease. Up against Kevin Knox during the first contest of the ARS Hoops Fest, it should be an outing that is can’t miss from the get-go. 
• Tony Bradley, Bartow High School, 2016: Heading to the event for the second year in a row, Bradley is attempting to put up another 20 point and 20 rebound outing, just as he did last January. Headed to North Carolina in the fall, Bradley stands 6-foot-10, has glue-like hands, and is a volume rebounder of the ball who will instantly help the Tar Heels on the glass and with his low block scoring.
• Miles Bridges, Huntington Prep, 2016: The senior wing is set on playing his college ball at Michigan State next year and boy, will he bring the noise from the start! The lefty is an elite athlete at the basket with a developing perimeter game. He can pass it, score it, and defend, and is one of the more entertaining players in all of the high school realm.
• Bruno Fernando, Montverde Academy, 2016: One of the best seniors still undecided on where he will attend college next year, Fernando is a killer inside as he cleans the glass in heavy amounts and finishes without much of an issue. Showing off a sculpted physique, Fernando is one of the better producers throughout the land because of his physical demeanor and motor from 15-feet and in and has the likes of Alabama, UCF, SMU, Florida State, and several others in heavy pursuit.
• David Beatty, St. Benedict’s Prep, 2017: A tough-nosed guard who loves to attack the basket, Beatty is the epitome of an east coast guard. With a strong body and a tough mindset on the attack to the basket, there is definitely a reason that programs such as Miami, Memphis, and Seton Hall are strongly pursuing the 6-foot-2 guard out of the native Philadelphian.  
• LJ Figueroa, Oldsmar Christian, 2017: A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Figueroa is a solid wing out top with good size (6-foot-6). He has vastly improved his ball skills and can score on slices to the basket and on pull-ups from out to beyond the arc. Due to his developments, the Oldsmar junior boasts offers from Florida, Virginia Tech, Miami, and Louisville.
• Kevin Knox, Tampa Catholic High School, 2017: One of the quickest developing players in all of high school basketball, Knox is a bouncy athlete who impacts each contest that he suits up in. Standing at 6-foot-8, Knox already holds offers from the likes of Florida State, Duke, and UNC, and is arguably one of the top juniors nationally.
• Silvio DeSousa, Montverde Academy, 2018: Just like Fernando, DeSousa joined his buddy from Angola in making the travels to the United States last January. In doing so, the 6-foot-8 powerful athlete has quickly developed into a top-three recruit nationally within the 2018 class. He has budding ball skills, is a lethal athlete at the basket, and an entertaining player to watch each time he sets foot onto the hardwood
• Elijah Weaver, Oldsmar Christian, 2018: Just a sophomore at this time, it is difficult to tell by the way that Elijah Weaver plays and his physical makeup. The lefty stands at 6-foot-4 and plays the lead guard spot. His patience and feel for the game is outstanding as the sophomore makes others better and already holds offers from schools such as Florida, Louisville, and USF.
• RJ Barrett, Montverde Academy, 2019: The next guy up out of Canada, Barrett might just be a freshman, but his upside and ceiling is tremendous. During the famed City of Palms Classic, the 6-foot-5 wing took center stage with a 31-point outing against the Chino Hills bunch out of California. The lefty is smooth, athletic, and has the aura of a big time recruit within the 2019 class.
