We’ve hit the homestretch of the regular season in Georgia high school hoops. With that, we wanted to make a few tweaks to the class of 2016 rankings for the Peach State. There isn’t a lot of movement and we’ve added a handful of new players to the top 35.

MOVERS

Perhaps the hottest player in the state is Avi Toomer of Grady High School. The Bucknell signee is torching teams this season, scoring 25.8 points a game for his 16-1 team and shooting as well as any guard in the Southeast. He’s now at No. 17 overall, jumping up from No. 30 overall.

Speaking of hot, future Georgia Bulldog Jordan Harris is having a masterful season in South Georgia. The 6-foot-5 do-everything guard is now at No. 5 overall, moving up from No. 11 overall.

Future Tulsa forward Martens Igbanu has jumped from No. 20 overall to No. 13. The 6-foot-7 combo forward is one of the hardest players to defend in the state of Georgia. He was the MVP of our Fall League at Suwanee Sports Academy Cobb and he’s shined in the big match-ups this season.

DEBUTS

Al-Wajid Aminu moved to Wheeler in the summer from Florida and the future North Florida big man has wasted little time in making his presence felt in the Peach State. Aminu is Mr. Energy for the Wildcats and has been incredibly consistent in the post for one of the best basketball programs in the country. Aminu debuts at No. 16 overall. We think he's on the path to All-Conference level value in the Atlantic Sun Conference.

For whatever reason, we didn’t have Dishon Lowery of McIntosh in our top 35 after the summer. Call it a clerical error. Whatever the case, that was a mistake on our part. Lowery is No. 23 overall on the rankings now.

We’ve also added big men Kohl Roberts of Riverwood and Milton’s Kyrin Galloway to our top 35 overall.
