DUNCANVILLE, TEXAS -- One of the reasons we wanted to come to the Lone Star State was to see terrific guard match-ups. On the opening day of the Thanksgiving HoopFest event, two of the best went head-to-head and did not disappoint. 

Irving (TX) MacArthur senior Andrew Jones was paired against Norman (OK) Norman junior Trae Young in a battle of terrific backcourt players. Neither player disappointed. Every possession felt like a battle of skill. Here's a snap shot of that match-up from Ball Is Life.

Jones overcame a terrific first half from Young and carried his team to the 97-93 win. Jones finished with 37Pts (12-23 FG, 3-7 from 3),10 rebounds, seven assists and a pair of steals.

Young finished with 33Pts (13-23 FG, 6-11 from 3), six assists, four rebounds and four steals.
