With great size and ideal toughness, Immanuel Quickley has become a well talked about and followed recruit during his sophomore year. Attending John Carroll School in Maryland, the 6-foot-3 guard is graced with quality ball skills, a solid feel for the game, and production in various facets of any given contest. After receiving his first offer from Cincinnati this past July, things have skyrocketed ever since.

Running with the Baltimore Elite program this past travel season, Quickley is a guy that has used his experience on the circuit in bettering his game within the half-court setting and comprehending when to take over a game. He can score the ball on hard attacks to the basket, on stepback jumpers from the mid-range, and the consistency on his perimeter jumper as become another weapon of his within his artillery.

Since his first offer a few months back, others like Washington, USC, UMBC, and Rhode Island have followed suit. Before the high school season begins though, Quickley has been bouncing around to some of the top-ranked programs heading into the 2015-2016 college basketball season.

Last weekend, the 6-foot-3 playmaker got a chance to see UNC on Friday before heading to Durham where he got a glimpse of Duke’s Countdown to Craziness, a night that impressed the sophomore guard. “It was great. They treated me great and it was a great atmosphere.”

After getting a chance to see what Coach K can offer firsthand, the Maryland native remained in-state on Saturday and made the move in getting a peek of what Mark Turgeon and his staff could offer. “It was great and the coaches are real cool.”

“I talked to Coach Turgeon a little bit, they showed me around the campus and though the facilities.”

Headed to St. John’s next weekend before settling down into the high school season, while there is still a time to go before any commitment is made by Quickley, the John Carroll School product does know what he is looking for in a college. “A school that fits my playing style, the right situation, and a place that offers a great, family environment.”

With more progressions on the playing floor, quality versatility in playing both guard spots, and more eyes placed onto him, Quickley has everything that it might take in becoming a highly prioritized and ranked recruit within his 2018 graduating class.
