2015 Fall Preview Team 15 Evaluations
We had a full day of hoops at the 2015 Fall Preview and will spend the next two weeks unloading player evaluations from the camp. We’ll go team by team and unload our notes from our staff. Today we dive deep into Team 15.
Jay Estime, Berkmar, SG, 2017: Coach Winston Neal called him one of the five best shooters in the camp. Other staff members thought he may have just been the most effective and productive players in the entire camp. With the ability to play the one, two and three, Estime was one of the most difficult players to defend in this setting. It was a stellar day of work for the junior and the perfect place-setter for a big season ahead.
Clarence Jackson, Wilkinson County, PF/SF, 2018: One of the nice surprises of the camp. He has some point forward skills as a 6-foot-5 player. He’s long and rebounded well. Jackson was a match-up problem throughout camp. He’s a good defender, too. We look forward to seeing more of him over the next year.
Ardraveon Harrison, Southeast Bulloch, SG, 2018: The lefty wing is a nice inside/out wing that can pick and pop, that works as a set shooter from the wing and a solid rebounder. Would like to see more agility in his game to help diversify his skillset.
Kenneth Lee, Eagle’s Landing, 2018: Lee has fine size and length on him for a guard. He is capable of playing some on the ball, as well. He has a fine stroke from deep and is constantly involved for the 50-50 ball.
Devante Exantus, Henry County, SG, 2017: He found his role as the ultimate glue guy. When his pace was good, his production was good. Simple cause and effect. He’s a fast guard with a defensive value to him.
Joshua Jackmon, Miller Grove, PG, 2017: He got to the basket whenever and however he wanted. Super strong and mature guard. One of the best defenders in the camp and didn’t shy away from meeting the team’s top guard in the full court. The 6-footer is a mature guard with a good basketball IQ.
Gerald Phillips, Dublin, PG, 2016: Small combo guard with a nice change of pace. He got by his man time and time again. Phillips shot well from three and was confident in his shot selection.
Khy Collins, Long Co., PG, 2019: As one of the younger guards in the camp, the 5-foot-9 floor general picked his spots to shine. His floater was strong on the offensive end.
Tyler Whittley, Morrow, PG, 2019: Heady point guard that can find his open man. The 5-foot-9 guard can knock it down when he’s open and played well in speed.
Evaluations come from a collection our staff of 12 coaches, four HoopSeen.com writers and two on-staff college coaches.
