2015 Fall Preview Team 7 Evaluations
We had a full day of hoops at the 2015 Fall Preview and will spend the next two weeks unloading player evaluations from the camp. We’ll go team by team and unload our notes from our staff. Today we dive deep into Team 7.
Demetrius Collins II, Cedar Grove, PG, 2019: The long and lean guard has a basketball frame for a high school combo guard. We saw flashes of nice things. When his effort was high, you could see his fluidity as an athlete. Developed strength will help further his shot, passing and defense.
Kadarius Harper, Miller Grove, PG, 2017: An active part of this team’s offensive balance, Harper did a fine job of working the ball around as a passer. He was at his best when attacking the rim and did a fine job of taking his offense right to the rim.
Chase Hunter, Westlake, SG, 2019: One of the top point guards in the camp, the 6-foot-1 freshman did a great job of showing our staff his full array of skill. Hunter is crafty, a good scorer and a good defender. Despite never playing a game in high school yet, Hunter was one of the best players overall at the camp. It was quite the good first impression as we head into the high school season.
Tolu Jacobs, King’s Ridge, C, 2018: It’s hard to miss Jacobs when he eases on the court. The 6-foot-10 big man in ENORMOUS. He is a space eater in the paint and sucks in rebounds in his area. A native of Nigeria, he is still learning the game. He has all the physical tools to be a high-major big man down road, but he needs to continue to learn the game and play more basketball. Developed footwork can really help his game. Coach Winston Neal called him one of the four best young (FR/SOPH) players in the camp.
Jacob Llumbet, Maryville (TN), PF, 2018: The 6-foot-6 forward busted his tail over the course of three games. If you needed someone to get on the floor for a loose ball, he did it. If you needed a high pick and pop four man, he was your guy.
Ethan Reid, North Paulding, SG, 2017: We think he can be one of the northern suburbs biggest sleepers this high school season. The 6-foot-2 guard is a good shooter and slasher. He has a nice frame that can take on defenders en route to the rim. Consistency will help our opinion translate this season.
David Viti, Lambert, SG, 2018: A fine scorer in his age group, Viti found his spots to be effective in this camp setting. Simply put - he knows how to play. Fundamentally sound, Viti is a textbook jump shooter. He has good size for his position, too.
Rodriguez Wiley, Thomson, PG, 2017: A scoring point guard, Wiley did some nice things from the wing to the rim. He’s a fast guard with no fear when attacking. He was alert and aware on defense.
Evaluations come from a collection our staff of 12 coaches, four HoopSeen.com writers and two on-staff college coaches.
