We had a full day of hoops at the 2015 Fall Preview and will spend the next two weeks unloading player evaluations from the camp. We’ll go team by team and unload our notes from our staff. Today we start with Team 1.

Amin Abdullah, PG, Roswell, 2018: The 5-foot-8 guard was one of the fastest guys we saw on his team. He was a speedster on both ends and welcomed the challenge of guarding from end to end.

Charnchai Chantha, PG, Hamilton Heights (TN), 2017: A number of our coaches at the camp liked what he brought to the table. He’s a smart player packed into a 5-foot-9 frame. Chantha made good passes, found moments to score, shoot, pass and direct his makeshift team. He earned high praise from his coaches on Saturday.

Brandon Dixon, PG, Norcross, 2019: The 5-foot-6 is new to the high school scene and playing at the camp was a nice introduction to the size and speed at the next level, especially at a program like Norcross. He was attentive to teaching and jumped at the chance to be on the floor and compete.

Heath Huff, C, Lee Scott Academy (AL), 2016 (pictured above): Traditional big man with good hands and caught passes from his capable point guards. Knows how to set the post and get big. Really liked how he was self-aware as a player. Never forced the issue, set good screens and played well with his size on both sides. Speed of game and athleticism gave him some troubles but all and all, a good day’s work. A college strength and conditioning program should help advance his skill set.

Anthony Franklin, PG, North Atlanta, 2017: The long and lean point guard covers a lot of ground with his dribble. The 6-foot-1 guard can go quickly and advance the ball with good speed.

AJ Oliver, SG/SF, DW Daniel (SC), 2017: The easy pick for our co-MVP selection from the camp. Read more about him HERE.

Jidenna Ozoh, SG, Collins Hill, 2017: Hard-playing, athletic guard that found the right times to put points on the board. LIke the speed at which he competes. Most of his work was in attack mode to the rim. The 6-foot-2 guard found his spots to be productive.

Justin Perry, PG, McEachern, 2019: A good-sized freshman, the 6-foot-1 guard jumped into camp with good energy. He’s got a good frame, was never afraid to jump into a physical game and showed flashes of a player to watch down the road.

William “Kovi” Tate, SF, Henry County, 2017: As one of the best vertical athletes at the camp, Tate was on the giving end of a highlight or two on Saturday. He plays way above the rim with power. While a majority of the attention he earned was on the offensive end, he played hard for loose balls and on defense. Coach Winston Neal called him one of the four best rebounders in the camp.

Jarvis Washington, PG, Laney, 2017: Built like a running back, the 5-foot-7 guard and powered through the defenses like a guy finding a hole in between the tackles. He was fearless en route to the rim and didn’t shy away from defensive responsibility.

Avery Wilson, CG, Forest Park, 2017: Built like a linebacker, the Clayton County guard did a nice job of taking advantage of the stage that was given. He used his strength to push through defenders with a powerful dribble en route to the rim. As we move towards the high school season, the 6-foot-1 guard will be a guy we watch closely. He’s a crafty ball-handler and a physical defender.
