The Team Loaded Virginia bunch went out to Las Vegas and won the Adidas Summer Championships this past summer. Sure, the chemistry on the squad was as good as it gets. However, the talent wasn’t lacking and on Sunday, a third commitment was made within the past 12 hours from a member of the team with Jeremy Sheppard. The 5-foot-11 combo guard made it known of his commitment date and settled upon Central Florida as his future home.

A product of John Marshall High School in Richmond, Virginia, Jeremy Sheppard had narrowed his cut list down to Old Dominion, UNC-Wilmington, Missouri State, and UCF before deciding on the AAC program. Super tough, Sheppard is someone who comes to Central Florida with adept shooting capabilities from deep. While he shot just over 31-percent from beyond the arc on the Adidas circuit this past summer, he showed just how good he could be during his time in Vegas where he hit on over five 3-point jumpers in three contests in the desert.

While many have questioned what spot Sheppard is and whether he is more of an undersized scoring guard, in my glance at the productive senior at the MakePlayz Breakout Classic on Saturday, the Richmond native displayed that he can turn into a well-rounded lead guard. He has the vision and passing skills to make the difficult passes look like a breeze, while also taking the proper shot and hitting from off the deck from out to 22-feet away from the basket.

Now the third commit in the 2016 class for Central Florida, Sheppard joins another shot-maker in Clayton Hughes, a 6-foot-5 wing out of Jackson, Tennessee, along with a versatile, hard-nosed big man with Brachen Hazen, a 6-foot-8 forward from Indiana.
