Jordan Lyons picks Furman
After taking a visit over Labor Day weekend, McIntosh (GA) 2016 guard Jordan Lyons has decided that Furman is the place for him and has given the Paladins his commitment.
“What made me choose Furman was the players, staff, & administration supporting me and really making me feel like family. Also, the big time academics are a big part in why I chose Furman,” Lyons told HoopSeen.com.
Lyons is also bought in on the future of the Paladins program and believes that he could be a big part of their future success.
“Furman basketball is on the rise, and they are doing very good things. I want to be a part of the history that we are about to make,” said Lyons.
Lyons, currently ranked 16th in the HoopSeen 2016 Georgia rankings, is a sniper that has transformed himself into an all around scoring machine, ranking among the state’s top scorers. He believes he can continue that at the next level.
“Coach Medved is bringing me in to be a scorer. The way Furman’s offense runs, they will get me a lot of open shots and put the ball in my hands with space to operate and score,” said Lyons.
This is certainly a big time score for Coach Medved and the Paladins.
My Take On Jordan Lyons to Furman
I’ve been a big advocate for Jordan Lyons and his abilities. This is an absolute steal for Furman, and they are getting a player that could potentially blossom into an All Conference type of player. He will come in ready to contribute right away with a college level skill set and build. Furman is no stranger to grabbing a steal out of Georgia. They did it in 2014 with Allatoona guard Daniel Fowler, who was Southern Conference First Team All Freshman a year ago.
